I took inspiration from the sense of longing that exists across the tunes\, the frenetic energy\, the grungy red light sludge that is Louis’ voice\, and most of all the imagined midnight debauchery\, sweat-stained hoodoo\, and survivalist mystery of this city in the early part of the 20th century.
