For the ninth year Bradley Fair Summer Concerts bring nationally recognized, jazz musicians to perform at the beautiful, lakeside venue on Bradley Fair Plaza. Concert guests can stretch the weekends by starting with Thursday nights at Bradley Fair.

photoThe 2008 summer concerts will present five musical performances on Thursday nights, June 5 through July 3, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The July 3 concert will be followed with a spectacular fireworks display to Celebrate America.

Voted "best live entertainment venue" in Wichita by Wichita Magazine's Best of 2008, Bradley Fair Summer Concerts are provided compliments of the Bradley Fair stores and restaurants.

photoGuests enjoy the summer scenery of blooming flowers, lush landscaping and the ambiance of the Bradley Fair Plaza fountain as they listen to talented musicians. Lawn chairs are recommended for seating on the tiered levels of the Plaza. Our excellent sound system makes it possible to take advantage of additional seating on the bank overlooking Bradley Fair Lake, with a view of the scenic island, waterfalls, trees and wildlife.

Guests can dine-in or carry-out a variety of cuisine, before, during and after the concerts, from Bradley Fair's ten excellent restaurant and dessert offerings. Food, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase at the concerts.

Grady Nichols

From small town Midwest beginnings to an internationally known saxophonist, Grady Nichols enjoys an audience as broad as his musical taste. Enjoying critical acclaim for his recent CD, Take Me with You, Nichols has enjoyed great success in the smooth jazz genre. With five CDs under his belt, Nichols uses elements of jazz, reggae, Latin, blues and gospel to energize audiences with his uplifting smooth jazz blend. Fingerprints

For nearly 20 years, standing room only crowds have been lining up to hear Fingerprints at clubs and music festivals throughout the southwest. The Dallas based sextet has earned critical raves and many thousands of loyal fans across the country. The rest of the world is discovering what the south has secretly enjoyed for years! Fingerprints was founded in 1986 by guitarist Roy Machado and bassist Frederick Nichelson. With saxophonist, Claud Hardrick, who hails from Wichita, Fingerprints plays sultry, intelligent jazz, while retaining respect for tradition. Greg Adams

Greg Adams' career has included success as an arranger, composer, conductor, and performer and earned him both Grammy and Emmy nominations. It has been a musical travelogue, spanning nearly four decades and contributing to some of the most important recordings in pop culture. Legendary for the horn arrangements that created the signature sound and have made Tower of Power one of the most enduring musical entities today, Adams is a founding member of the band. Adams' muted trumpet and sultry tone evokes that of Miles Davis and he's known to mesmerize his fans to where you can here a pin drop, while his bright percussive style gets the audience on their feet and keeps them dancing. Crafted by his art of "lyrics without words," his trumpet-driven melodies merge the sound of jazz, funk grooves, sophisticated riffs, sexy soul and Latin vibes in a blend that is all so cool! Joseph Vincelli

Joseph Vincelli's signature is his passion towards his music. What sets him apart from other smooth jazz artists is his ability to create music from an array of sources, stretching the limits. Vincelli has recorded ten CD's in a seven-year period, including seven smooth jazz, one classic jazz and two Christmas CDs. Vincelli's diversity with the art of music has brought him the honor of the Scott Joplin Award for achievement and the 2000 Hall of Fame winner at the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Festival. Matt Marshak

Celebrate America Fireworks Following Concert at 9:30 p.m.
With a style that is part jazz, R&B, chill, retro funk and world beat, guitarist Matt Marshak crosses over many genres of music. His live shows are second to none in terms of funk, energy, crowd interaction and fun, building Marshak's world-wide reputation as a creative, bright young star. Growing up in Long Island, New York, Marshak started playing all types of music, paying his dues in small clubs. While attending college at SUNY Geneseo, he played with a blues/R & B group, cooking up renditions of tunes by old blues and soul masters. Marshak's new 2008 CD, On the Rocks, has just been released and features a wide range of musical styles, while staying true to jazz, R&B and blues.
