NEW GYMBOREE STORE OPENS IN BRADLEY FAIR
BRADLEY FAIR CELEBRATES 18TH ANNIVERSARY
(WICHITA, KS) - Laham Development has announced that Gymboree Corporation (NASDAQ: GYMB) will open a new Gymboree® store in the Wichita lifestyle center, Bradley Fair. The new 2,440 square-foot store will open in a portion of the space previously occupied by Restoration Hardware. The store will open on October 23, 2008, prior to the holiday season. The arrival of Gymboree brings the 280,000 square-foot center to 53 stores and restaurants.
Gymboree has been dressing children since 1986. The specialty retail brand offers unique, high-quality products delivered with a personal approach to customer service. The brand's fashionable clothing and accessories are designed and crafted to withstand rugged play, while letting kids be kids in outfits they love to wear. Available in sizes newborn to 12 years, Gymboree clothing is designed with comfortable fabrics and detailed touches. Coordinating accessories complete every outfit. With headquarters located in San Francisco, California, Gymboree currently operates more than 600 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
The Gymboree store opening coincides with the 18th Anniversary of Bradley Fair. Opening in 1990, Bradley Fair was one of the first lifestyle centers developed in the country. Featuring the best of lifestyle center key elements, Bradley Fair offers restaurants with outdoor dining, extensive landscaping and a scenic open-air Plaza area, overlooking Bradley Fair Lake, where outdoor summer concerts and community events are held.
With frequent store additions and improvements to the center, Bradley Fair continues to emphasize a fresh appearance and new retail offerings to keep pace with consumer interests. "We have worked to maintain a balanced retail and restaurant mix," said Cathy Kirkhart, vice president of Laham Development. "We really try to keep things interesting and that is key element in keeping pace with our customers."
The most recent addition to Bradley Fair, the 28,500 square foot, freestanding Barnes & Noble Booksellers, opened in April 2008. The bookstore brings a merchandise component not previously available at the center and includes a café serving Starbucks coffee.
